I started writing because I noticed a real gap in queer representation in the romance world — the majority of MM romance is written by women, many of whom aren't queer at all. I felt like the stories I could write would carry an authenticity that only a gay man writing this genre could bring.
P.S. are the first initials of my first and middle name — Kirby is my actual last name. The pen name lets me separate my professional life from my author persona, and gives me a space that's just for the writing.
Stone&Ink is my own imprint — a way to turn my writing into something I could tangibly hold. "Stone" is a nod to the Stonewall Riots; "Ink" makes clear this is a writing house.
On and off since around 2021 — but I didn't find the momentum to actually publish until January 2026.
No right or wrong way to read these — none of the books go in a specific order. At least not yet. 😉
Right now, every book exists in its own world. I've been toying with the idea of a crossover series down the line, though.
Expect explicit scenes — but ones that serve the story, not just the moment. I aim for a 4 to 4.5 out of 5 ink drops in most of my novels, always in service of the plot. Check each book's page for its specific rating.
Depending on the book, there may be some grief or on-page violence. I lean toward grounding my stories in real-life situations, which tends to keep things a little tamer overall. Each book's page has its specific content note.
For something lighter, start with Fluir. For something angstier with a healing arc, start with The Restoration. Breaking Point is its own thing — a political thriller wrapped around a romance that'll keep you turning pages.
Can't give too much away — but there may be some ideas floating around for expanding that world. 👀

Getting lost in a world and living vicariously through the characters — the character development is what hooks me, and yes, the steamy scenes are a nice bonus.
I'm a sucker for grumpy/sunshine. I also gravitate toward characters with "normal" jobs — there's a lot of sports-athlete romance in MM right now, and while those are fun, I want my books to show this genre can be about everyday people too.
If I'm not writing, I'm probably curled up on the couch with my husband, our furbabies piled somewhere on top of us, and something trashy playing on the TV. Love Island has had a hold on me for months — I will absolutely defend a villa contestant's terrible decisions with my whole chest. My ADHD keeps me busy pretty much around the clock, so honestly, that couch is the one place my brain actually slows down. It's not glamorous, but it's mine.
